Making her lifelong passion into a career, Lisa Louise Cooke has always been about family roots. Her love for all things family history related began as a child perusing scrapbooks with her grandmother. A marriage and family of her own only deepened her desire to search out her past, and she's spent the better part of two decades doing just that.

In the process, Lisa became the producer and host of the Genealogy Gems Podcast, host of Family Tree Magazine Podcast, and videocasts for Family Tree Expos. She is a nationally known genealogy speaker and has authored two books, Genealogy Gems: Ultimate Research Strategies, and The Genealogist's Google Toolbox, and maintains the Genealogy Gems News Blog.

Lisa Louise Cooke and her husband Bill, have three daughters.
